Focused Datacrons are an alternative system to normal Datacrons, instead of chance mechanics, they offer linear progression, ensuring that each upgrade provides the precise benefits displayed.

The cost of upgrading is higher than normal Datacrons, but you're able to see exactly what you’re going to get, making it easier to decide how far you want to upgrade. This is similar to the “bespoke” Datacrons occasionally rewarded from Marquee events, but they are not fully upgraded when acquired.

Focused Datacrons are designed to bolster squad compositions that may not be already supported by existing Datacron sets. Meaning there is more creative freedom of whom to build these around, and with the ability to have multiple Bonus Mechanics for characters or for different factions on a single Focused Datacron, there’s potential to shake up squad composition in ways that weren’t possible before.

Focused Datacrons are considered part of the same set as the rest of the Datacrons that are released at the same time, but have their own section in the Datacron inventory to be able to find them easily.

Usage

• The minimum character requirement is Gear 5.
• Each player may only own one of each Focused Datacron released. Once purchased from the Episode Shipments store, you can't buy another copy of the same FDC.

Upgrades

• Go up to level 15, instead of the traditional 9 levels of a normal Datacron.
• Upgrading uses the same Datacron currency and upgrade materials as the rest of their associated Datacron set.
• Cannot be dusted or re-rolled.
• While the current bespoke Datacron rewarded from each marquee uses the format of the standard Datacron set, future Datacron rewards from marquees may use the Focused Datacron format and fully-upgraded when acquired.
• All bonus stats and modifiers are visible before purchasing.
